Journalist rates Arsenal’s chances of signing Leroy Sane from Bayern Munich this summer
Arsenal have been linked with a number of exciting players this summer, but perhaps the most intriguing rumour has been around Leroy Sane.
Arsenal have been linked with a move for the Bayern Munich man in recent days, and this is a very exciting prospect.
We all saw what Sane can do in the Premier League during his spell at Manchester City, while the winger is also someone Mikel Arteta knows very well from his time at the Etihad.
This would be a very exciting deal, but, unfortunately, it may not be one that is all that likely to happen.
Indeed, speaking on the , Dan Kilpatrick has played down the idea of Sane joining Arsenal.

Leroy Sane to Arsenal unlikely
Kilpatrick claimed that he can’t see Sane moving to the Emirates.
“They haven’t been shy of making signings in the past few years. They have splashed the cash, so it wouldn’t surprise me at all. I can’t see it being Sane personally, just because he predominantly plays on the right and that is completely locked down by Saka.”
Tony Adams has shown why Arsenal need Leroy Sane
Kilpatrick says this Sane deal is unlikely because he plays in the same position as Bukayo Saka. However, this is a position that Arsenal do need to address.
Indeed, Saka is currently Arsenal’s only quality option down that right side, and there have been suggestions that Bukayo Saka is being overplayed.
Tony Adams has recently noted that Saka is playing too often.
“If I have one criticism on Arteta he plays him every single game. He doesn’t give him any rest whatsoever. Maybe he doesn’t trust what’s coming through underneath him. If he was like Grealish or playing for Man City, Saka would be right up there,” Adams said.
Sane may not want to come and be a rotation option, but Arsenal do need a player in that position who can take some of the load of off Saka, otherwise, he will burn out.
