Journalist provides update on when Skipp could return for Tottenham

Journalist Paul Brown that he has been told that there is a chance that Oliver Skipp could make his return for Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.

Skipp has missed Spurs’ last four games due to a groin problem. And unfortunately, Antonio Conte had already ruled the youngster out of their Premier League clash with Burnley on Wednesday.

further information on the injury. They reported earlier this week that Skipp is yet to return to training following an infection. And the club are keen to ensure that it is completely out of his system before welcoming him back into the fold.

Interestingly, it would appear that there is a chance that his return could be imminent. Brown has now claimed that Skipp has not yet been ruled out for Saturday when Tottenham face Leeds.

“I think his injury is taking longer than people thought, definitely. But we’re told there’s a chance he could be back this weekend,” .

Big boost for Tottenham if Skipp is back for the weekend or not far away

Tottenham fans were treated to something of a midfield masterclass at the weekend thanks to Rodrigo Bentancur and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. The pair were outstanding as Spurs beat Manchester City.

But not having the ‘excellent‘ Skipp has hurt Tottenham a lot in recent weeks. They lost the previous two league games without him. So his return will be a huge boost for the club.

Of course, Conte may be wary of rushing Skipp back. While it is not entirely clear where he is at, it would seem that he was not training as recently as this week. And playing against Leeds demands a lot of any player.

But it is certainly good news that he is not out of the equation for this weekend. At the very least, that should mean that he has a very good chance of facing Middlesbrough in the FA Cup at the start of next month.
