Josh Onomah recall is not the answer to Tottenham’s injury crisis

Amid an injury crisꦚis in attack, Tottenham Hotspur are considering recalling Josh Onomah from his loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday.

Mauricio Pochettino admitted in a press conference that he ෴might bring Onomah back, .

Tottenham’s attacking ranks have been seriously depleted by Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Moussa Sissoko joini💝ng L💞ucas Moura on the sidelines in the past two weeks.

Son Heung-Min is also unavailable🀅 as he represent𒅌s South Korea at the Asia Cup.

Pochettino is 🦹weighing up his options and he might choose to terminate Onomah’s season-long loan spell at Sheffiꦜeld Wednesday.

But this would be the wrong deci🍌sion: Onomah is not the short-term fix that Spurs are looking for in ꦯthis position.

Firstly, ♈the 21-year-old is out injured until February. At this point, Kane will be a month away from his return and Son is likely to be back.

Moreo𒐪ver, Onomah has not exactly lit up the Championship during his time with the Owls. In 11 games, the England under-21 winger has three assists but is yet to score.

After scoring fou♏r and assisting three last season at Aston Villa, Onomah needs more time in the Championship before returning to Tottenham.

With Steve Bruce taking over at Sheffield Wednesday, Onomah’s former Aston Villa boss could help him reach his best f🎉orm in the second half of the season.

This is a must better ♏short-term and long-term option for Tottenham, rather than recalling him to make up the numbers in the sq🌳uad.
