Jose Mourinho signing is an even better deal for Tottenham than Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – TBR View
If you think about the best pieces of Tottenham transfer business so far under Jose Mourinho, then midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is a name that many would throw up.
He joined from Southampton for £15million (), and has had an extremely strong first season so far with Spurs.
The Danish enforcer certainly deserves to be in the conversation.
Additionally, some feel that in the future the £11million () deal to sign centre-back Joe Rodon from Swansea City is going to turn out to be an inspired one.
But one Mourinho deal at the north London club trumps the lot.
The Portuguese boss also managed last summer to bring in Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid, which is a deal that could end up rising to £32million ().
Even if his transfer his larger than the aforementioned, the business looks incredible.
He might not be getting the credit yet across the entire Premier League, but there is no reason why Reguilon can’t soon be in the mix for the best left-back in the division.

The Spanish defender has looked a natural at Spurs from day one.
Reguilon has quickly made himself a fan favourite with his passionate displays on the pitch, but he’s got the quality too to back it up.
The left-footer has five assists in 26 appearances so far this campaign, and the way he attacks with speed with overlapping full-back runs is impressive.
He’s also been the most consistent defender in the backline this season, where he’s comfortable one-on-one.
Overall, his transfer looks an absolute bargain.
One possible negative mark against him is some injury problems he’s had, but if he can overcome them his signing will prove a masterstroke for years to come.
