Jose Mourinho says £23m Spurs man is back in training, could feature on Sunday
Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Serge Aurier is “fine” and back in training with Spurs.
The right-back has missed Tottenham’s last five games due to a calf injury, but is now in contention to feature in Sunday’s Premier League meeting with Burnley.
Indeed, Mourinho has an almost clean bill of health, with midfielder Giovani Lo Celso the only remaining absentee.
When asked by whether Aurier was going to be fit for the weekend, Mourinho replied: “Serge is fine, he’s fine. Trained today with the team without any limitations.

“As I was saying, everybody is training with the team and Gio is the only one that is not in conditions to play this weekend.
“I think even next week will be quite premature for not to say impossible, but he’s coming.
“Today for the first time in a long time, the medical department could watch the draw as they didn’t have any players inside.”
Aurier has made 18 appearances in all competition for Spurs this season, scoring twice and registering one assist.

Aurier has endured a difficult season amid a number of knocks, but his return will be welcomed by many Spurs fans who remain unconvinced by Matt Doherty.
The man looks likely to return to the starting XI this weekend, with Tottenham hoping to get their faltering Premier League campaign back on track.
