Jose Mourinho says £100k-a-week Spurs ace returned to team training yesterday, first time in a while
Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has revealed that Dele Alli was back in training with the team yesterday for the first time in a while.
Alli has struggled for game time under Mourinho this season, with just 12 competitive appearances totalling 472 minutes, and one Premier League start, back in September.
The England international’s last appearance came in the FA Cup third-round win over Marine on 10 January.

Speaking ahead of his side’s fifth round tie against Everton on Wednesday, Mourinho says Alli is not currently injured, but “went through a process of not training” and is now back.
“Dele trained yesterday with the team and well,” he told . “Long time away, couple of weeks no training with team and recovering.
“Can he play tomorrow? Well, he’s not injured but I’m not sure he can. Can he help us? I believe he can.”
Elaborating further in wake of the January transfer window closure, Mourinho added: Nothing changed. He’s not injured. He’s not injured, he can train with the team.
“He went through a process of not training and trained with the sports science people and then jumped to team work which he did yesterday for the first time.
Nothing changed, what maybe changed is the speculation around him because in this moment everybody knows that he’s a Tottenham player and he doesn’t go to any place.
“So probably the end of the speculation and will be end (of) the questions.”
TBR View:
Alli hasn’t had the best of times this season, but with games coming in thick and fast for Spurs, there’s a good chance Mourinho could utilise him in the coming weeks.
With Tanguy Ndombele now deemed capable of playing in a different position from No. 10, this opens up an opportunity for the Englishman.
