Jose Mourinho has asked Roma to sign ‘very fast’ £20m Arsenal player in January
Jose Mourinho has reportedly asked AS Roma to sign Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior ahead of the January transfer window.
That’s according to , with the Italian outlet claiming Mourinho wants to bring in one of Eric Dier or Jakub Kiwior as he bids to bolster Roma’s defensive options.
Kiwior has struggled for minutes since completing a switch to North London from Spezia Calcio back in January.
The 23-year-old enjoyed a run in the side towards the end of last season but has mainly played a backup role to Gabriel Magalhaes.

Mikel Arteta reportedly blocked Kiwior from leaving the club over the summer, with Sevilla one of the sides keen on signing the centre-back.
But it seems that Roma could be ready to test Arsenal’s resolve in the January window as Jose Mourinho eyes a move for Kiwior.
Mourinho has asked Roma to sign Kiwior
Romagiallorossa reports that Mourinho has asked Roma to sign Tottenham’s Eric Dier or Kiwior.
It’s noted that Roma’s sporting director, Tiago Pinto, is looking for the ‘cheapest’ signing due to Roma’s financial struggles.
Kiwior has been lauded as a ‘very fast’ defender and seems to have the required attributes to thrive in England. But the Poland international faces a tough task when it comes to breaking into Arteta’s side.

Arteta has found a brilliant partnership in Gabriel and William Saliba, with the duo being ever-present so far this season.
Barring an injury to either player, it’s difficult to see Kiwior forcing his way into the Arsenal side.
Yet, it would be a huge risk for the Gunners to offload Kiwior in the middle of the season as it would leave Arteta short of options at centre-back.
Arteta has reportedly decided he wants to keep hold of Kiwior and will reject any offers for the centre-back in January, which would all but rule out a switch to Rome.
