Jose Mourinho confident nobody will activate ‘world-class’ Chelsea target’s release clause this month
AS Roma are reportedly confident Paulo Dybala’s release clause won’t be activated this month despite strong interest from Chelsea.
The Argentine international has been linked with a move away from the Eternal City after it was discovered that Dybala’s Roma release clause will drop to just €12m (£10m) on January 15th.
With the former Juventus star one of the best attackers in Serie A, it feels pretty likely that a top Premier League side will soon come in an activate Dybala’s bargain release clause.

However, , Jose Mourinho’s side are confident that no club will trigger Dybala’s exit fee, even with Chelsea in talks for the forward.
, Chelsea’s hunt for a top attacker has been very well documented this January, with Dybala seemingly next up on the Blues’ agenda.
However, with Roma themselves now confident that Dybala won’t be leaving this month, Chelsea could soon drop out of the race to sign the attacker, who is currently out injured.
Chelsea should pivot away from signing Paulo Dybala this January

With Dybala out injured for an unspecified amount of time, the alarm bells should already be ringing for Chelsea, not like this has stopped the Blues from making an ill-advised signing in the past.
Yet in this case, it seems pretty obvious that Chelsea should not be looking to move for Dybala, even if the Argentine international has a release clause that will soon be as low as £10m.
Indeed, the Serie A superstar has been linked with a move to the Premier League for what feels like a decade, yet Chelsea shouldn’t consider Dybala as an option given his recent injury blow for Roma.
