Jose Enrique suggests Erling Haaland as perfect striker target for Liverpool
Jose Enrique has suggested that Liverpool should target Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland in th💃e summer.
Haജaland, 20, is regarded as one of the world’s best y𒈔oung talents right now.
The Norwegian centre🧜-forward has scored 27 goals in 26 games across all competitions s♊o far this season, with eight of them coming in the Champions League competition.
Pundit Enrique, who was writing a column for, feels tha𒉰t the Dortmund frontman is someone that could be a ꦚrealistic signing and reckons a deal may be possible.
The Reds have Roberto Firmino as their main striꦓker, but beyond him there🏅 is limited cover with just Divock Origi and also versatile attacker Diogo Jota.
“Firmino has to have someone behind him to fight for the position. We need a no.9 in the su𝔍mmer,” Enrique said.
“My choice🧔 is Erling Haaland. We can rule out Kylian Mbappe – he’ll be too expensive. But I think Haaland is possible.
“He’�♌�s so good in the air – he’s a beast. Can you imagine Trent and Robbo crossing balls into the box for Haaland? Wow! They would get another 20 assists each per season. He’d be another dimension for us and is the kind of player we should be going for.
“Haaland might cost £100m, but we spent £75m on Van Dijk and that’s what it takes. You can guarantee [Manchester] City will spend £100m-odd on the striker who replaced Aguero… If you think about it, the only one of our forwards who’s ꧒good in the air is Mane – so a striker like Haaland would be my priority this summer.”

If Haaland is to come to the Premier Lea🍎gue, the buyers would signing a phenomenal talent.
The left-foot🀅ed striker has pace, power, ꦚfinesse and a predatory instinct around the box.
He adapted to Germany football almost instantly after joining ꧙Dortmund in January 2020, scori♑ng 43 goals in 44 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit.
Liverpool have ജseen that if they stand still their rivals can overtake them, albeit the poor injury luck they have suffered this season has been shocking.
Liverpool’s famous front trio of Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane was always going to be broken up at some point, something that goal machine Haaland would surely do if he ended up joining Jurgen Kloꦇpp’s Liverpool squad.
But the Reds need to make sure they have Champions🦹 League football at a minimum for next se﷽ason if they are dreaming of a big window.
