Jorginho claims Chelsea have an ‘unbelievable’ player who’s better than Trent Alexander-Arnold
Who is better, Trent Alexander-Arnold or Reece James?
This is a debate that has raged for years at this point as the Liverpool and Chelsea stars battle to be the starting right-back for England alongside Kyle Walker and Kieran Trippier.
Alexander-Arnold has had a much better season than James, due to the fact the Chelsea captain has been injured for most of the season, but according to Jorginho, speaking on , James is actually the better player.
Jorginho noted that he thinks Trent Alexander-Arnold is an unbelievable player, but he feels that Reece James is a more complete player.

The midfielder shared his verdict on this debate.
“Is he (Reece James) better than Trent?” Jorginho was asked.
“They are different, but if I was choosing for my team I would choose Reece, he is more complete, but then Trent has these passes and this shooting, it’s unbelievable, it’s different, but overall I think I would choose Recce,” Jorginho said.
Unreliable
In terms of all-round ability, there is certainly an argument to make that James is better than Alexander-Arnold.
He’s almost as effective going forwards, but he is much more astute defensively, and that gives him the edge.
However, while James may be a more reliable defender, Alexander-Arnold is the more reliable player by a mile.
James has all of the talent in the world, but he can’t stay fit to save his life at the moment.
Meanwhile, Alexander-Arnold, barring the last few weeks, is rarely ever sidelined with injury, and that means he’s been able to play a massive part in Liverpool’s recent success while James has had to watch from the sidelines as his team has continued to struggle.
James may well be the better player, but Alexander-Arnold has been much more impactful over the past 18 months or so.
