Jordi Cryuff says Barcelona have been tracking £30m player Arsenal reportedly want to sign for over a year now
Arsenal will have to fight Barcelona for World Cup star Mohammed Kudus, with director of football Jordi Cruyff confirming he’s tracking the star.
Fabrizio Romano has shared some quotes from an interview with by the Barca figure that might force Mikel Arteta to act quickly.
The Gunners are the latest club to be tracking Kudus. He is currently producing the goods for Ghana at the World Cup and scored twice for his country during a 3-2 win over South Korea on Monday.

After the tournament, the talk will intensify over his future. Everton and Liverpool have both been linked in the past but perhaps Arsenal are the team that would welcome the Ghanian the most.
Kudus is enjoying a fine season with Ajax. He’s scored 10 goals and claimed two assists, with several clubs now expected to move for him in January.
Barcelona could be one of those outfits. Cruyff was quizzed on the 20-cap star and it seems crystal clear that the Spanish clubs will be in the mix.
“We’ve been tracking Mohammed Kudus for more than one year. We can’t say now that Barca want Kudus…but he’s attracting interest.
“He’s scoring goals in Holland and they discuss a lot about his position, so yes – I know him very well.”
Arsenal to fight Barcelona for Kudus
Whoever gets Kudus might hit the jackpot. He’s a quality player and he’s currently busy taking the World Cup by storm over in Qatar.
Arsenal are currently top of the Premier League as domestic action takes a break. They are five points clear of Manchester City and are firmly in a title race.
As a result, the Gunners know that January could be crucial. If they’re serious about wrestling the crown from City, they will need some strength in depth.

Kudus doesn’t look fazed by anything. He’s grown as a player at Ajax and he will surely fancy a crack at a top European league at some point.
Barcelona look to be remaining quite coy. The finances might be tight for the Catalan giants on this one and perhaps that might give Arsenal the edge.
Kudus can play as a midfielder, or further forward. Having a player with that level of versatility would seriously help Arsenal and he could aid the club in their quest to win silverware.
