Jordan Henderson full of praise for Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has heaped praise on back-up goalkeeper Adrian for the influence he has had on youngster Caoimhin Kelleher.
The Spaniard was overlooked for the midweek Champions League game against Ajax by Jurgen Klopp, who handed the Irishman a surprise start at Anfield.

It was only his fifth first-team appearance, and his first in that competition, and he really made the most of his opportunity.
It has left some wondering where it leaves Adrian, whose contract is expiring at the end of the season, although it is thought there is an option for a further year.
Despite not featuring against Ajax, Henderson has saluted the Spaniard’s professionalism and conduct.

He said (): “We are so fortunate to have a brilliant set of ‘keepers, all of whom are entirely focused on delivering what’s best for the team. I can’t praise Adrian enough for how he conducts himself and the contribution he makes.
“He is a true leader in our dressing room and I’m sure Caoimhin would be the first to acknowledge that having a person and professional of Adrian’s quality supporting and guiding him made the evening more manageable for him.”
TBR’s View – Adrian still has part to play
Even if he isn’t physically between the sticks, it seems £30,000-a-week Adrian () still has a big role to fulfill at Anfield.

Henderson’s comments suggest that his sheer presence alone make him an important part of the squad.
He’s made some mistakes during his time at the club and hasn’t convinced everyone of his quality, but him being a pillar for Kelleher is really important, and fans should welcome the comments of their captain.
