Jordan Henderson and Harvey Elliott react as Andy Robertson signs new Liverpool contract

Jordan Henderson and Harvey Elliott are amongst the players to have reacted on Instagram that Andrew Robertson has signed a new long-term contract at Anfield.

Robertson has become the latest player to commit his future to the Reds. , his previous deal was set to expire in 2024.

However, the same report has suggested that he is now set to stay until 2026.

It is a huge boost with Robertson establishing himself as one of the best full-backs in world football since his switch to Merseyside.

Remarkably, he has provided 37 assists in 177 games for the Reds in all competitions.

And with the Scotland international only turning 27 earlier this year, there looks to be little reason why he cannot continue to be an outstanding performer at the highest level for years to come.

Few signings, but Liverpool are enjoying outstanding window as Robertson agrees new contract

Liverpool have been incredibly busy this summer. Admittedly, some fans may have hoped for more signings.

But the work they have done has been terrific. , Robertson joins Trent Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, Alisson and Virgil van Dijk in signing a new deal.

The Athletic also suggests that Jordan Henderson has a deal in principle.

The Reds may not be making a raft of signings this summer. But they are certainly putting a lot of their top flight rivals to shame with what they are doing.
