Jonjoe Kenny names the ‘on-fire’ Everton player who’s only going to get better

Everton loanee Jonjoe Kenny has waxed lyrical about Toffees clubmate Dominic Calvert-Lewin, saying there’s “more to come” from the Goodison Park striker.

Calvert-Lewin joined Everton from Sheffield United in 2016 for a reported and has worked his way into first-team contention.

The 23-year-old has come a long way this season in particular, weighing in with 13 Premier League goals as Everton climbed away from the relegation zone after a poor start to the season.

Kenny, currently on loan at Schalke, told : “Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been on fire and I think he has more to come.

“He has become the main man which he was always destined to become because of the type of player and person he is.”

It has taken a while for Calvert-Lewin to completely win the Everton fanbase over – last season, many praised his work rate but wondered whether his finishing was that of a top-flight striker.

The 6ft 2in marksman has answered his critics emphatically, as shown by his impressive goal tally and a much improved eye for goal.

Even better for Everton, Calvert-Lewin is now contracted to Everton until 2025, having penned an extension just two months ago.

Many besides Kenny believe there’s plenty more to come from the Yorkshireman under Carlo Ancelotti in the years to come.
