Joleon Lescott says Harry Kane will finally be outranked at Tottenham, by Antonio Conte
that Harry Kane will be outranked for the first time at Tottenham – by new manager Antonio Conte.
Conte, 52, was quickly brought in by Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici. It comes after Spurs sacked Nuno, following the 3-0 loss to Manchester United.
Over the last few days, pundits have criticised Tottenham’s players for forcing out managers – Nuno, after Mauricio Pochettino and Jose Mourinho.
Indeed, this is a Tottenham squad that sit bottom in the Premier League in regards to distance covered. But Lescott thinks things are about to change.
He expects Kane to be outranked for the first time after the arrival of Conte. The ex-England man says Conte will not hesitate to drop Kane, if needs be.
“If Conte goes in there, he’s going to have more power than Harry Kane,” Lescott said. “I don’t think Harry Kane will have experienced that, yet.
“If you don’t buy into what I’m saying, I have the power to take out the team. He wants to play, he’s got records he wants to beat, trophies to win.”

Lescott on Kane and Conte: Could Tottenham striker be dropped?
Much has been made about Kane’s body language since his failed summer move. His lack of form, his lack of goals, his lack of hunger.
But surely, that will all improve with Conte now at the helm? A manager that demands the best – and normally gets the best out of his players.
So, yes, Kane could be dropped by Conte. But he will be given plenty of chances to return to his best by the Italian – and he will surely do so.
Do not be surprised to see Kane and other Tottenham players’ running stats improve. Also, expect less stories to be leaked to the press, too.
