John Terry and Tammy Abraham react to Aston Villa’s latest transfer activity

Aston Villa pulled the wool over everybody’s eyes for a second time over the weekend, with the loan signing of Axel Tuanzebe. The centre-back rejoins Villa after 18 months at Villa beforehand between January 2018 and 2019. John Terry and Tammy Abraham reacted to Villa re-signing Tuanzebe.

Joining the club more than three years ago with Villa still in the Championship, the 23-year-old played 35 times for the Midlands outfit. During the 2018-19 season, he picked up numerous injuries and was limited to just 11 appearances. Now, he will be looking to put things right.

With Bjorn Engels leaving, bringing in depth at centre-back was important for Villa. Getting a player that knows the fans, knows Smith and knows a lot of the Villa players is also important. United have decided to let Tuanzebe go after completing the signing of Raphael Varane from Real Madrid.

It is a good move for all parties – and could lead to a permanent deal. Tuanzebe’s contract expires next summer at Old Trafford, though United do have the option to extend by another 12 months. Terry and Abraham – who worked alongside Tuanzebe at Villa – responded on Instagram.
