Joelinton is pleading Newcastle man to stay after being linked with an exit
Joelinton has pleaded with a Newcastle United man to stay at the club this summer after being linked with an exit.
Newcastle narrowly missed out on European football last term after finishing in seventh place, so the onus will be to challenge for the top six in the fast-approaching Premier League season.
They’ll need to bolster their ranks to avoid further injury crises like last year and with that said, Odysseas Vlachodimos, John Ruddy and Lloyd Kelly have already joined to help them in that quest.
The Tynesiders are now keen to bring in a central defender with AC Milan’s Malick Thiaw top of their shortlist.
Though, whilst they target new additions, there is still a possibility one of their most valuable assets could leave and Joelinton is begging him to stay.

Joelinton pleading with Eddie Howe to stay
According to the , Newcastle United midfielder Joelinton is pleading with Eddie Howe to stay after being heavily linked with the vacant England job.
Following Gareth Southgate’s departure, Howe has emerged as a leading candidate to become his successor, alongside Graham Potter and Lee Carsley.
The Magpies boss came out in a recent interview and admitted he was happy to stay but only if the board shared the same vision, which left a smidgen of doubt around his future.
“My commitment to Newcastle is unwavering, and it has been since I came to the football club,” the 46-year-old said, via .
“As long as I have certain things for me – as in I’m happy, I’m allowed to work in the way I need to work in order to get the best out of me and I feel supported – then that will never change.”
Eddie Howe big reason Joelinton signed new contract
The Mail’s report further adds that Howe is a big reason why Joelinton decided to renew his contract at St James’ Park.
The Brazil international credits him with transforming his career after a really tough start to life on Tyneside.
So evidently, he’s clearly concerned that if Howe were to leave, he’d have to adapt and adjust to a completely different manager who may not see him in the same light as his current boss.
A telling few weeks lie ahead.
