Report: £11m Spurs star set to hand Nuno Santo huge summer boost
Spurs manager Nuno Santo is set to get a big pre-season boost in the form of Joe Rodon, who could be back from injury much earlier than expected.
claims that Rodon could actually return to pre-season training earlier than anticipated. The Wales star was expected back at the end of the month.

However, Rodon could well return earlier due to the fact he’s deemed as one of the least tired members of the squad. His lack of action last season – in the main – means he’s likely to be ready to return sooner.
That could well be a huge boost for new Spurs boss Santo. The ex-Wolves man is keen to get to work quickly with his new squad. Therefore, having as many players back as quickly as possible is ideal for the Portuguese.
Rodon played a key role for Wales in the Euros., the defender had to show patience before a run of four starts in a row in March and April helped his cause.
Big season
Joe Rodon faces a big season next year. Both on a personal level, and in terms of Spurs in general.
It’s a period of change for the club. Santo, along with Fabio Paratici, will be hoping for a big summer of incomings. However, for people like Rodon, it’s a chance to really impress as well.
He did well enough in the games he played last season. Further, he’s also played well for Wales. His return to pre-season is a boost for Santo, and could play into Rodon’s hands as well.
However, reports have suggested today that Rodon may also be loaned out as Santo overhauls the squad.
