Joe Hart says something he saw from ‘unorthodox’ Arsenal player vs Wolves could help win the title
Arsenal’s 2024/25 season now has lift off and the Gunners have three points on the board in their title push.
As opening days go, it was a good one for Mikel Arteta who saw his side come out on top despite being tested by Gary O’Neil’s Wolves.
It was by no means a straightforward afternoon for Arsenal at the Emirates and they were made to earn their win.
However, there were some moments during the game which showed exactly why the north Londoners are going to be battling away at the top of the table.
Goals from Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz sealed the points for Arsenal but there was another moment which really impressed former Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart.
And the 37-year-old has even suggested it is these types of moments which add up over the course of the season to win a team the title.

Joe Hart left wowed by ‘unorthodox’ Arsenal player vs Wolves
The season may be up and running but there is still time in the transfer window for Edu Gaspar to bolster Arteta’s options.
Arsenal are now closing in on the signing of Mikel Merino with a fee agreed for the Spain international.
But it is one of the current Arsenal players which Hart thinks could earn his side the title this season after what he saw on Saturday.
Speaking on on Saturday night, Hart admitted that the save from Raya to deny Jorgen Strand Larsen was something which could prove huge to Arsenal’s title hopes.
“Hawng takes it, there’s only one man in the box, Larsen. Incredible ball in, superb header and that is a brilliant save,” said Hart.
“But I think the more we see it, from a goalkeeper’s point of view, Saliba’s been caught out a tiny bit but he’s thought [Raya] ‘I’m going to cover the far post as best as I can’.
“Raya’s set. Probably the most dangerous part of the goal for him is a low header down to his helft. That is why his weight shifts to his left, there.”
“Look at the agility, here. It’s a really superb save. Unorthodox, but what you see here is David Raya is fully aware once he’s made the save that he needs to get back up.”
“Huge moment, Arsenal then go on to win comfortably, but for title winning aspirations those sort of moments add up.”
Arsenal could see a new goalkeeper signed this summer
No, it will not be to replace Raya who only signed permanently this summer. But Arsenal could well be signing a new shot stopper.
Aaron Ramsdale’s future at Arsenal is still in doubt with the England international potentially moving on to find more regular minutes.
If Ramsdale is to leave, this will leave Arsenal in need of a new backup goalkeeper.
And it is believed Arsenal are looking to sign Joan Garcia who had interest from Tottenham earlier in the window.
However, this will depend on whether Ramsdale is to move on.
