Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink says Jack Harrison loves his football at Leeds

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink believes that Leeds United’s Jack Harrison is continuing to mature as a player and he’s predicting that the club will try to sign him on a permanent basis in the future.

After two successful loan spells at Elland Road, the Whites re-signed Harrison in the summer window on a third loan deal from parent club Manchester City.

The 24-year-old is a highly-rated attacker that is an ever-present in Marcelo Bielsa’s XI, with his pace, trickery and work-rate all impressive attributes he possesses.

He’s now scored three goals and four assists in his 15 Premier League appearances this season, which included an excellent finish on Tuesday night in the 5-0 demolition away to West Brom.

Hasselbaink was left raving about the English wide player Harrison for his latest display and is impressed by his progress.

“I think they tried in the summer [to sign Harrison permanently], they couldn’t get an agreement. I think they’re going to try again,”

“He loves his football at Leeds. He’s matured big time… You can see he’s growing. He is an important player for Leeds United.”

TBR’s View:

Harrison has settled to top-flight football so effortlessly during his first taste of it this season, as he’s part of a Leeds team that are winning over neutrals with their expansive style of play.

Hasselbaink’s transfer prediction that Leeds will want to sign Harrison on a permanent seems likely, but whether Man City would be prepared to grant his exit remains to be seen.

His price tag has surely soared due to his levels in the opening months of the league season and for now the player will just be focusing on impressing on a weekly basis.
