Jesse Marsch hints 20-year-old Leeds gem will play tomorrow, he’s ‘very dangerous’
Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch has hinted that Joe Gelhardt could feature against Crystal Palace tomorrow.
The 20-year-old Whites talent was overlooked for selection against Aston Villa last weekend.
Marsch opted for Leeds summer signing Wilfried Gnonto for a spot on the Elland Road side’s bench.
Gelhardt went on to play for Michael Skubala’s Under-21s against Tranmere in the Papa John’s Trophy in midweek.
And he sent Marsch a timely reminder with two goals in the 5-3 victory.
The Leeds boss, talking to ahead of the Premier League trip to Palace, spoke highly of Gelhardt.
“Joffy made a fantastic point to his manager in the Tranmere game,” said Marsch. “That he should not be left out of the squad.
“I thought he played really well and he was very dangerous. Joffy will be a factor in this game as well.”

It’s good to hear that Gelhardt should be back in the squad after missing out last week.
Earlier this week, The Athletic reported that the youngster was confused to be left out of certain matches last season.
Marsch has a tough job on his hands balancing the needs of the team with proving to Gelhardt he has a pathway to first-team action.
