Jerome Boateng says he’s been seriously impressed by one Tottenham man, tells Bayern to sign him ‘immediately’
Jerome Boateng has just told Bayern Munich to try and sign Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane this summer to replace Robert Lewandowski.
The summer transfer window is just around the corner and as exciting as the prospect of new signings is for Spurs fans, the possibility of a bigger club coming in for Kane remains a massive concern.
It’s no different this time around either, and although Tottenham’s chances of retaining their star striker are stronger now thanks to Antonio Conte and potentially Champions League football, if a club like Bayern Munich table a big offer, things could change very quickly.

If there’s one striker in world football who can go toe to toe with Kane, it’s Lewandowski. The Pole is arguably the best number nine in the world, and he’s one of the biggest reasons why Bayern are as good as they are.
However, it looks like he wants to leave the Bavarians this summer, and Boateng feels Kane would be an incredible replacement.
The defender, who now plays for Lyon, told : “Many strikers have impressed me and at the moment they have the best with them in Lewy. Benzema can also be mentioned after this season. Personally, I would at FC Bayern try to get Harry Kane immediately. That’s my opinion.
“For me, he’s a complete striker who scores his goals every day at Tottenham. In a very good, but not a world-class team. If he’s in a team like FC Bayern plays, then I think it’s a great replacement at a very good football age. But that’s up to FC Bayern.�/p>

If you’re a top club and you’re in need of a striker, you’d be silly not to consider Kane. If Lewandowski leaves Bayern this summer, we expect the German champions to go big on a replacement.
Boateng’s advice to his old club is a sound one, but it will be really difficult for Bayern to reach an agreement with Daniel Levy for the England captain.
However, if Kane, branded as ‘fantastic�by Conte, is adamant that he wants to leave Spurs this summer, selling him to Bayern over an English club would make a lot more sense for Tottenham. They won’t be strengthening a direct rival that way, but whether the striker is willing to head over to a different country is anyone’s guess at the moment.
It will be interesting to see what will happen with Kane this summer, but if Conte stays and Spurs secure fourth place, we expect the Englishman to stay put.
