Jermaine Jenas wowed by 20-year-old Chelsea player in first half v Manchester City
Chelsea and Manchester City are currently in FA Cup semi-final action at Wembley Stadium.
Mauricio Pochettino’s Blues and Pep Guardiola’s Citizens contested a fairly even first half in the English capital, with Chelsea likely the happier of the two.
Chelsea went into the game on the back of the most emphatic win of Pochettino’s reign so far, having beaten Everton 6-0 in the league on Monday night.
Meanwhile, Man City have had to pick themselves up after their dreams of a consecutive Treble went up in smoke in midweek.
The Citizens played well against Real Madrid in the Champions League, but lost in the penalty shoot-out, with former Chelsea ace Antonio Rudiger scoring the winning penalty.
Which Chelsea player impressed Jermaine Jenas in first half of FA Cup semi-final?
In the 24th minute of the game between Chelsea and Man City, Malo Gusto made a great tackle to dispossess Kevin De Bruyne and get an attack going.

BBC Sport pundit Jermaine Jenas, commentating on the match, liked what he saw from the 20-year-old, praising him on .
“That’s brilliant from Gusto because Chelsea were under pressure, he had to win that tackle,” said Jenas.
“I think Pochettino will be delighted. They’ve played really well, they’ve had that tenacity in the tackle.
“They’ve looked really solid in the opening 25 minutes.”
How did Chelsea fare against Man City in first half of FA Cup semi-final?
Neither side could break the deadlock in the first half, and both managers will have a lot of thinking to do (and potentially a lot of things to say) during the interval.
Chelsea have been the more threatening, even though City have had more of the ball. At the same time, the Blues haven’t been so good with their final passes.
In addition, Nicolas Jackson’s failure to shoot when one-on-one with goalkeeper Stefan Ortega was frustrating to see.
As for Gusto, he really has been a revelation for Chelsea, and to take the ball off De Bruyne’s legs is not something every footballer can do.
It’ll be exciting to see how he continues to develop as a player. At just 20 years of age, he’s nowhere close to his peak and can become so much better.
