Jermaine Beckford lauds ‘brilliant’ Jack Harrison for creating danger at Leeds United
Leeds United hero Jermaine Beckford has claimed he is a ‘big fan’ of Jack Harrison and the way that the Manchester City loanee can create dangerous chances for Marcelo Bielsa’s side to score.
Harrison returned to Elland Road for a third season to be a part of the Whites’ first year back in the Premier League, and has remained pivotal to Bielsa’s tactics as one of the first names on any teamsheet.
The 24-year-old has opened top-flight appearances heading into the final day of the campaign on Sunday, and has been involved in 16 goals with eight scored and eight assisted.
Only 16-goal, eight-assist top-scorer Patrick Bamford has been for the West Yorkshire side than Harrison this season, with the £15,000-per-week wide man stretching the pitch and opposition defences.
Beckford believes it is Harrison’s immense ability to bring the ball down and deliver it into dangerous areas that sets the former England U21 international apart, and why he is a huge supporter of his talents.
“He has been brilliant at that,” Beckford told . “Staying out wide on the touchline and his first touch is always brilliant. I am a big fan of his.”

Harrison has certainly offered a highly influential presence at Leeds this season and will no doubt hope to end the campaign by reaching double figures for goals and assists on Sunday, when Bielsa’s side hosts West Bromwich Albion.
It is unlikely to be Harrison’s last game at Elland Road, though, as the Whites will surely be expected to pick up the £11million option () they hold in his loan transfer from Man City, in what could prove to be a bargain for a player of his proven Premier League quality.
Harrison put on a show last weekend causing the Burnley defence all sorts of issues with his dribbling, while Newcastle rarely knew what to do with his crosses in December’s meeting as the winger played with intent and supreme vision – which Beckford has now praised.
