Jermaine Beckford delivers instant reaction as Leeds complete Diego Llorente signing
Leeds United have this afternoon completed the signing of Diego Llorente from Real Sociedad – and former striker Jermaine Beckford has welcomed him aboard.
Llorente has checked in at Elland Road signing a four-year contract at the club, bolstering Marcelo Bielsa’s defensive ranks.

His arrival in the Premier League signals an end to his three-year stay in San Sebastian where he built up a decent rapport with the club’s supporters.
Beckford knows all about becoming a fan favourite for the Whites, with his goals helping Leeds into the Championship back in 2010.
He took to to welcome the new defender to West Yorkshire and he seems pretty happy about the latest piece of summer business.
Llorente is the second central defensive signing of the summer, following Robin Koch’s arrival from Freiburg.
With captain Liam Cooper and youngster Pascal Struijk also in the defensive ranks, it leaves Leeds well-stocked for the season ahead.
It’s hard not to admire the Whites for the way in which they’ve gone about their transfer business this summer and they will hope to benefit from it.
Rather than throw money at lots of players they have, in large, trusted last seasons group opting for quality over quantity on the transfer front.

Rodrigo Moreno has also arrived at the club, whilst Leeds have ensured that their under-23 ranks have been bolstered significantly.
Llorente is another decent signing for the Whites. He played 88 times for Real Sociedad and proved himself as a solid ball-playing defender.
Leeds will hope they have struck gold once again with this deal and he should complement Bielsa’s style of play just nicely.
