Jermain Defoe says there’s one thing Tottenham fans definitely cannot say about Daniel Levy
To say that Daniel Levy has become an unpopular figure at Tottenham would be an understatement.
Indeed, Tottenham fans have protested against Daniel Levy this season after some drab performanc💜es ♋on the pitch.
Levy has been affected by these protests, and there has been some noise around a potential takeover at Tottenham, albeit, Levy would want to stay in some capacity.
However, despite all of this, Lev🐭y does still have his defende🐻rs.
Hugo Lloris recently defended Levy’s ownership, and speaking to The Mirror, Jermain Defoe has also come out to bat for the Spurs chairman.

Jermain Defoe defends Daniel Levy
Defoe spoke a🅺bout Levy and💟 how he’s running the club.
The former striker says that he does understand the fans’ points of view, 🉐but he says that Levy has tried very hard at Tottenham and has helped them level up in a number of ways.
“I do get what fans are saying, but th🥂e chairman can only do so much. His vision🥂 was for the club to be best in class. Best training ground, we’ve got that, best coaches in terms of academy coaches, some amazing coaches there, the infrastructure, the stadium, it’s unbelievable,” Defoe said.
“Poch went, he got Jose Mourinho, the next best one Antonio C꧟onte, they have spent money. Nobody can say he hasn’t tried, but I’d just love to see everyone come toꦦgether.”
Daniel Levy’s successes at Tottenham
Defoe says that Levy can’t be accused of n💎ot trying at Tottenham, and he’s not wrong.
Indeed, for all of 🥃his faults, Levy has invested in Tottenham,🐠 and he has had a go at bringing success to Spurs.
Let’s not forget, bef🌞ore Levy took charge, Tottenham were genuinely a mid-table side with very little ambition.
Teddy Sheringham left Tottenha♒m due to their lack of ambition, and while it hasn’t all been plain sailing under Daniel 💜Levy, he has tried to get Tottenhamt to that next level.
A new stadium, a new training ground, numerous transfer records broken and a litany of top class managers have been hired by Levy at☂ Tottenham, and you can’t really ask for much more than that from a chair🐓man.
Tottenham have spent a fortune even since appointing Ange Postecoglou, and, ultimately, it’s🔥 not Levy’s fault that these players aren’t performing.
