Jan Vertonghen and Son Heung-Min both react after Tottenham’s stunning comeback tonight

Tottenham Hotspur secured an incredible comeback victory at Leicester on Wednesday night.

Antonio Conte was on the verge of falling to his first league defeat as Spurs manager.

However, Tottenham – who were trailing 2-1 in injury-time – dramatically struck twice for a 3-2 win.

Spurs winger Steven Bergwijn was the hero on the night for Conte’s charges.

The Dutchman, who came on in the 79th minute, equalised five minutes into stoppage time.

Bergwijn was on hand to slam home from close range following good work from Matt Doherty.

Just 80 seconds later, Harry Kane put the 24-year-old through on goal.

Bergwijn took the ball around Kasper Schmeichel and scored off the inside of the post.

Tottenham conceded first due to Patson Daka’s 24th-minute effort, but Kane equalised on 38 minutes.

Midway through the second half, Leicester went ahead again through James Maddison.

However, Tottenham pulled off arguably the most dramatic comeback in recent years.

Former Spurs star Jan Vertonghen loved what he saw from Bergwijn, lauding him on Twitter:

And Bergwijn’s fellow Tottenham forward, Son Heung-min, also praised the Dutchman on social media:

Truly a night that nobody connected with Tottenham – fans, players, peers and everyone else – will ever forget.
