Jamie Vardy’s top troll moments as he bids farewell to Leicester City
Jamie Vardy has announced that he will be leaving Leicester City at the end of the season.
The Foxes’ relegation to the Championship was confirmed last week following a 1-0 defeat to Liverpool, and with it comes the end of Vardy’s unforgettable journey at the King Power Stadium.

Vardy has been with Leicester City since 2012, after joining them from non-league side Fleetwood Town for just £1m, which was a record signing for a non-league player at that time.
And very soon he established himself as one of the club’s fan favourites with his goalscoring prowess and his personality.
He went on to score 198 goals for the club, becoming one of the most prolific strikers in the Premier League. He was also a key part of Leicester’s historic 2015-16 title-winning campaign, where he scored in 11 consecutive Premier League matches, breaking Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record.
Not only will he go down as one of the most clinical strikers, but he is also known for being one of football’s most unapologetic wind-up merchants.

From the Eagle celebration aimed at Crystal Palace fans to howling at Wolves supporters, the Englishman has done it all. Here are some of the best Jamie Vardy moments where he well and truly ruffled feathers.
The Eagle celebration vs Crystal Palace
After scoring at Selhurst Park during the 2-0 win in 2019, Vardy ran straight to the home fans and flapped his arms like an eagle in front of them, mocking Palace’s mascot. It was cheeky, deliberate, and gloriously Vardy. The Palace fans weren’t impressed, but Vardy couldn’t care less.
Howling celebration vs Wolves
Wolves supporters are not a big fan of the Leicester man with Vardy celebrating in front of them on multiple occasions.
In 2019, he scored the only goal of the game to beat Wolves 1-0, and celebrated by running towards the Wolves supporters and howling like a wolf at them.
And he did so again in 2022, when he came off the bench to score his 100th Premier League goal, and celebrated the occasion by howling in front of the Wolves supporters.
Cupping his ears vs West Brom
Even with the stands empty, Jamie Vardy didn’t miss the chance to wind up the fans watching from home.
After scoring from the penalty spot against West Brom, he cheekily ran toward the vacant stands and cupped his ears — as if soaking in imaginary boos.
After the game, he said: “I’ve enjoyed playing here over the years, getting a few goals so just thought I’d celebrate for them watching at home.”
Showing his Premier League winner’s badge to Tottenham fans
Earlier in August this season, Vardy was at it again. The 37-year-old scored the equaliser in the season opener and brutally trolled Spurs fans after being substituted.
As he left the pitch, he aimed a dig at them by pointing at his Premier League winner’s badge, taunting them for their lack of League title.
And he did so again in the reverse fixture. After equalising for Leicester right after half-time, Vardy pointed to his Premier League winner’s badge in front of the Tottenham supporters.
The Leicester legend will no doubt be missed but despite being 38-years-old, he reportedly has no plans of retiring just as yet.
Several clubs will be looking to secure his services on a free transfer this summer, with West Ham already tipped to sign Vardy. Whether he stays in the Premier League or goes abroad remains to be seen.
