Jamie Shackleton uploads Instagram post on his new Leeds contract, Luke Ayling and Jack Clarke respond
Leeds United midfielder Jamie Shackleton shared his delight on social media on Wednesday after he extended his contract at Elland Road.
The Whites confirmed () that the academy graduate he signed a new four-year deal with them, which now expires in 2024.
Shackleton is another highly-rated talent to make his way through the academy to the first-team squad and he managed 24 senior appearances across all competitions last season, as the Yorkshire club clinched promotion back to the Premier League in impressive fashion.
The 20-year-old worked his way into the plans of manager Marcelo Bielsa and impressed with some busy cameos off the bench, plus he scored back-to-back goals to finish the campaign strongly.
Shackleton expressed his delight on his official account after his contract news, which promoted a response from current defensive teammate Luke Ayling.
Tottenham winger and ex-Leeds man Jack Clarke also offered some kind words.

Shackleton has shown in glimpses that he could have a big future further down the line for Leeds and now has the confidence boost of signing a new deal ahead of the new season in the top-flight.
The English youngster may need to be content with more impacts off the bench, but he has shown he’s ready to work hard breaking into the side and is certainly now a member of Bielsa’s main group.
The high intensity style that Leeds operate with means they need plenty of midfield options and the future looks very bright for Shackleton.
