Jamie Shackleton that he believes that the amount of defensive work that Raphinha does for Leeds United definitely goes unnoticed by many.
Of course, Raphinha is the player supporters seem to be most excited about heading into the new campaign.
Unlike last year, the Brazilian has had a pre-season under Marcelo Bielsa. So the 24-year-old will be setting his sights on improving his tallies of six goals and nine assists in the Premier League last year.
But Shackleton has insisted that the wide-man’s game is about a lot more than what he produces in the final third.
“He’s [Raphinha] great at both sides of the game,” .
“Everybody knows about his attacking qualities, they are pretty obvious. But I think what he does defensively goes unnoticed. It definitely helps my game when I’m playing at right-back.”

Victor Orta could have hardly imagined just how well Raphinha would adapt to life at Elland Road. .
Leeds, of course, do their work on potential new signings. And it would have been apparent just how much talent the former Rennes star possesses.
But he has established himself as one of the best players not plying their trade with one of the current heavyweights of the division.
Obviously, it is the bursts down the line, the moments of outrageous skill, and the passes that even his teammates can probably scarcely believe that get the fans out of their seats.
But his work at the other end of the pitch is just as important – as Shackleton suggests.
