Jamie Redknapp heaps praise on new Aston Villa and West Ham signings
when discussing Aston Villa and West Ham signings Wesley and Sebastien Haller, who have been signed as their clubs’ new star striker.
Wesley opened his account for Aston Villa on Friday night as the newly-promoted side produced a superb display to upset the odds an inflict a 2-0 defeat on Everton. Haller scored a brace for the Hammers, as they beat Watford 3-1 away from home.
New signings combined as Jota played in Wesley, who finished calmly past England number one Jordan Pickford – his first for Villa since joining the club for a whopping £22million from Club Brugge in the summer.
Haller cost more tha double Wesley’s price tag, being lured to the London Stadium for £45million from Eintracht Frankfurt and Redknapp was complimentary about their performances for their new clubs – as both opened their account for their new sides.

TBR’s view – If Haller and Wesley get the chances, they will score
The pressure on both Haller and Welsey was completely unjust. Both strikers need the chance to adapt to the Premier League, but it must be considered that neither have really had a chance to find the back of the net.
A handful of half-chances in their opening matches, or in others words, Wesley and Haller have fed off scraps. Haller had little service in the 5-1 defeat against Manchester City before missing the 1-1 draw with Brighton.
Similarly, Wesley had little to go off against Tottenham and Bournemouth, which both ended in defeats for Villa. Now both have their opening goals, perhaps the pressure and scrutiny will ease.
