Jamie Redknapp criticises Felipe Anderson after West Ham’s 3-0 loss at Burnley
Jamie Redknapp has admitted he is getting it wrong over the type of season he expected West Ham’s Felipe Anderson to have after Saturday’s 3-0 defeat against Burnley.
In the Redknapp said he expected the Brazilian to stand out to the extent he was the subject of big money bids next summer but he isn’t pulling his weight.
He : “West Ham goalkeeper Roberto is being targeted after his mistakes but the reality is nobody is playing well for that club at the moment. At the start of the season, I said a standout campaign for Felipe Anderson could see rival clubs come in with £60m-plus bids for the Brazilian.
“But he has not been turning it on. A lot of players there need to pull their fingers out. West Ham have a talented squad, and their struggles are not just down to Roberto.”

Earlier this season, West Ham took more optimism than might ordinarily be advised from a televised 0-0 draw against Aston Villa because of the way they battled to a point after being reduced to ten men.
There was a feeling that they had turned a corner and married steel to their increasing style but the ensuring months have laid it plain that is not the case at all.
Anderson is an emblem of that; a higher calibre of player than they have typically been able to attract but lacking the consistency or robustness to propel a side into the top eight.
The result is the Hammers sitting in 16th going into the international break and Redknapp is right, the likes of Anderson must pull their fingers out to get their side out of their current mess.
