Jamie O’Hara says why fans will ‘turn’ on Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham after losing to Ipswich

Jamie O’Hara is never shy of an opinion or two when it comes to Tottenham and he’s ripped into them after they lost to Ipswich Town.

Spurs were well beaten in their own back yard as they never got going and allowed Ipswich – without a win all season – to pick up their first three points of the season.

Once more, it was inconsistency coming to the table for Ange Postecoglou and he watched on in horror as his players wilted.

Indeed, Ian Wright has been quick to criticise Tottenham’s lack of consistency and now, former player Jamie O’Hara has had his say as well.

Ange Postecoglou told why Tottenham fans will soon turn on him after Ipswich

Speaking on when watching Ipswich come away from Spurs with all three points, former midfielder O’Hara slammed his old team and suggested that soon enough, fans will turn.

“Spurs are all the place at the back. Defenders running all over the place, crossing over, not tracking runners, getting in behind,” O’Hara said.

“You watch it and go, so easy, so easy. That can’t carry on. Eventually the fans will turn. Okay, we like exciting football, but we don’t want to come back from 2-0 down every week.”

There is no in-between when it comes to Tottenham

When you look at the stats for Spurs, for most teams, the basic stat lines would probably mean a good set of results.

23 goals scored is the most in the league, while 13 conceded is the same as Man City and only one more than Arsenal.

However, Tottenham have won five, lost five, and drawn just one of their 11 games. And that is the clear issue for Postecoglou to sort out.

There has to be some middle ground with Tottenham. Sometimes, getting a draw is not the end of the world and while it’s great to win, it’s not worth it at the expense of defeats all the time.

O’Hara, then, is correct in his comments here.
