Jamie O’Hara says 27-year-old Tottenham player ‘would walk into Chelsea’s team right now’

TalkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara has claimed that new Tottenham Hotspur signing Timo Werner would walk into Chelsea’s team right now.

Spurs announced the arrival of the Germany international on a six-month loan deal yesterday, and despite his previous struggles, many view him as a great signing for Tottenham thanks to Ange Postecoglou. O’Hara is certainly excited.

Jamie O’Hara says Tottenham’s Timo Werner would walk into Chelsea’s team

Chelsea suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to Championship side Middlesbrough in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final last night.

The Blues really looked awful yesterday. Nobody will look at their squad and say it’s worth over £1 billion, and the worst part is there are no signs of improvement either.

Tottenham, on the other hand, have been transformed by Ange Postecoglou. He has made them one of the best teams in the country in attack, and we’re sure some Chelsea fans are jealous.

Now, Blues old-boy Timo Werner has joined them for the next six months. The 27-year-old had a shocking spell at Stamford Bridge a few years ago, where he looked awful in front of goal.

Despite what happened then, there’s a lot of optimism about Werner’s move to Tottenham. Jamie O’Hara is convinced he’ll be a hit at Spurs and he even thinks the German would walk into Chelsea’s team right now.

He said on : “Timo Werner has put pen to paper on a six-month loan deal at Spurs. I think it’s a great move. I think Ange will get the best out of him.

“He would walk into Chelsea’s team right now, that’s for sure.”

Timo Werner could really thrive at Tottenham

As you can tell by now, Jamie O’Hara truly believes Timo Werner will be a success at Tottenham, but others, like Ally McCoist, are a bit unsure.

The 27-year-old was really poor for Chelsea back in the day. He scored just 23 goals in 89 games for the Blues and missed a ton of easy chances during his time there.

At Tottenham, however, things could be very different. Ange Postecoglou’s attacking style of football will suit him, and he will get plenty of chances to score each game. His pace will offer Tottenham a big boost in attack as well and make them a very dangerous side to face.

Tottenham take on Manchester United this Sunday, and it will be interesting to see if Werner will get a start. If he does and manages to score, he will become an instant hero.
