The 22-year-old Wales international started on the right of a three-man attack in a 4-3-3 formation. He played for the entire 90 minues.

As you can see, former Tottenham player Jamie O’Hara was following the match, and the talkSPORT pundit was not impressed by Johnson’s final ball.

While Johnson was a threat down the right flank, he did not always try to take on Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The youngster took two shots of which one was on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 83.3%, took 47 touches, attempted one dribble, made two tackles and one interception, and put in seven crosses.

My View: Brennan Johnson will improve

In my opinion, Brennan Johnson will improve. I do not think that we should be too harsh on the Tottenham Hotspur and Wales international forward.

After all, Johnson is only 22 now. He is still developing and improving as a player. He is not the finished article yet.

We have to allow the former Nottingham Forest forward to grow at his own pace. Let us not put too much pressure on him.

Johnson has made 56 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. The forward has scored nine goals and given seven assists in those games.

The youngster has made 12 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Spurs this season. He has scored one goal and given four assists in those games.
