Jamie O’Hara claims £45m Arsenal attacker is much better than Jarrod Bowen

Jamie O’Hara couldn’t believe it after Carlton Cole claimed West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen is better than Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus.

The Hammers are in a fantastic position, and Cole is loving it. He has been really impressed with his old side, so much so that he thinks West Ham star Bowen is better than Arsenal‘s Jesus. O’Hara is having none of that.

Jamie O’Hara says Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus is better than West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen

Arsenal signed Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City 18 months ago for £45 million ().

The Brazilian became an instant hit at the Emirates. He started last season in magnificent style and helped Arsenal become title contenders.

People’s opinion of Jesus has been influenced by his lack of goals over the last year. Because he’s not prolific enough, many don’t rate him as highly as they used to.

Carlton Cole seems to be one of those people, and he made a claim about Arsenal’s Jesus on that left Jamie O’Hara shocked, even though he’s a Tottenham fan.

“Bowen, I think he’s better than Jesus,” Cole said.

A shocked O’Hara replied: “He’s not better than Jesus! Jesus plays for his country [Brazil] week in, week out, what are you talking about?

“Jesus is a top striker, Bowen is a really good player, for West Ham.”

Gabriel Jesus is underrated

Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus has come under a ton of criticism this season.

The Brazilian has seven goals and four assists to his name so far, which isn’t awful for a player of his style, but everyone wants goals from a striker, and he’s not producing that to the level required.

However, Jesus brings so much to this Arsenal side. His work rate is incredible, he creates chaos in and around the box to trouble defenders and his movement opens up space for his teammates in the final third.

Jesus will definitely admit he needs to score more goals, but people need to start rating him highly for everything else he does for Arsenal.
