Jamie O’Hara called Tottenham defender an “absolute liability” during Leeds defeat
Jamie O’Hara didn’t hold back with a harsh criticism of Tottenham’s Serge Aurier during the weekend loss against Leeds United.
Spurs suffered a crushing 3-1 defeat away to Leeds United on Saturday during their trip to Elland Road.
Ryan Mason’s side were beaten in Yorkshire, which dealt yet another blow to their hopes of Champions League qualification.
Heung-Min Son’s equaliser in the 25th minute cancelled out an opener from Stuart Dallas, before controversially Harry Kane had a goal ruled out by VAR for the finest of margins on an offside call.
Patrick Bamford and Rodrigo Moreno then scored crucial goals for Leeds, who jumped up to ninth in the league table, as they continue a superb first season back in the top flight.
Unfortunately, Spurs stay sixth in the division standings, and look unlikely to claw back a five-point deficit to the Champions League positions.
Pundit and ex-Spurs player O’Hara singled out Aurier on for his contribution during the game.
The 28-year-old defender found it particularly tough up against Leeds winger Jack Harrison, who tormented him for large spells.
Aurier is just an absolute liability.

TBR’s View:
Aurier, who joined Spurs for £23million () back in 2017, certainly fits into the category of an inconsistent players.
He’s an athletic right-back with real pace, power and directness, which is why some games he can be a real asset in the full-back position. However, defensively he can be found wanting, and that was the case on Saturday.
It’s worth noting he didn’t have much defensive help from his winger Gareth Bale when Leeds full-back Ezgjan Alioski pushed forward to make it a two-on-one situation.
