Jamie Carragher urges Liverpool to sign ‘fantastic’ England international this summ

Former Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher, has said that the Reds should be targeting a move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham this summer.

Bellingham is one of the hottest properties in world football. His form with Dortmund has been outstanding and he’s already made quite the impression at England level too. Indeed, it was with the Three Lions that Jordan Henderson pointed out just how ‘fantastic’ Bellingham was.

“He’s a fantastic player. Even at such a young age, he shows fantastic maturity on and off the field. You can see how hungry he is to be a top player and has all the attributes to do that. He is miles ahead of me when I was that age,” the Reds skipper said at the time.

And according to Jamie Carragher, Bellingham is the one player Liverpool should sign. Answering some quick fire questions over on his account, Carragher used Bellingham as his answer when asked who he thinks Liverpool should sign next.

Interestingly enough, Liverpool have already been linked with Bellingham. The claimed just last month that the Reds were indeed leading the chase for the England man.

However, given Bellingham is valued at around the £90m mark, it remains to be seen if a deal can be done. Carragher, then, might end up disappointed in the long-term.

TBR’s View: Bellingham At Liverpool Is Mouth-Watering Prospect

This Liverpool team is already fantastic as it is. But it does need refreshing and the signing of Jude Bellingham wouldn’t half go down well on Merseyside.

Bellingham is, quite simply, a brilliant young footballer. His work-rate, ability on the ball, and eye for a goal are all outstanding attributes. It’s actually quite mind-blowing that he’s still so young.

If Liverpool do eventually land Bellingham, then it will be huge news.
