Jamie Carragher shares what Arsenal need to do to win Premier League title
Jamie Carragher has revealed what he thinks Arsenal need to do to win the Premier League title ahead of the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City.
The Gunners blew the title race wide open on Sunday as they ran out 3-1 winners over Jurgen Klopp’s Reds at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal now sit third in the Premier League table with 49 points from 23 games, level with Man City, who have played 22 times. Liverpool are top with 51 points from 23 games.
Carragher, speaking on , admits he was stunned by how good Arsenal were at the back against the Reds.

The Anfield legend believes that the “slim chance” the Gunners have of winning the Premier League title rests on how well they defend.
“They were better than Liverpool in all areas but the big thing that stood out for me was how strong they were defensively,” said Carragher.
“I never felt at any point in that game that Liverpool looked threatening or that a goal was coming. Liverpool got a fortunate goal, we know that.
“I said after the game that the result was better for Manchester City than Arsenal but Arsenal do have a slim chance of winning the title.
“That chance comes from how good they are defensively.”
Arsenal well-positioned to win first Premier League title since 2004 – TBR View
Liverpool boast one of the strongest attacks in the league, but Arsenal did very well to restrict the Reds to a handful of half-chances.
As per Sky Sports, Liverpool’s expected-goals total against Arsenal was just 0.37, their lowest figure of the Premier League season so far.
Back in October, City’s expected-goals total in their 1-0 loss to Arsenal was just 0.48. That was also their lowest figure of the Premier League season.
If Arsenal can keep up the good work and become an impossibly difficult team to break down, that’ll stand them in good stead for a potential first title since 2004.
