Jamie Carragher says one Tottenham player has done something very rare and is now truly ‘world class’

Jamie Carragher has heaped praise on Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane for the way he has changed his game since Mauricio Pochettino’s departure.
Kane has undoubtedly been one of the best strikers in the Premier League over the last six years. He just surpassed Arsenal legend Thierry Henry in the goals list and just like the Frenchman, he is turning out to be a brilliant provider as well.
Right after Pochettino left and Jose Mourinho came in, Kane was asked to drop a bit deeper to allow the likes of Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura to cut in and cause havoc. That worked brilliantly and the Englishman has gotten even better at being a playmaker now.
Carragher is blown away by the rare trait Kane has developed where he drops deep and brings people into play. The Sky Sports pundit has even claimed that his passing is on the same level as Manchester City superstar Kevin De Bruyne.
Carragher: Harry Kane is world-class at scoring and creating goals
Speaking on after Tottenham smashed five past Everton last night, Carragher said about Kane: “He hasn’t won a trophy and sometimes people ridicule him on that.
“But for what he has done for Tottenham without them being one of the top teams and what he has done by dropping deeper which I think is a natural step for every striker. I don’t he has that pace under Pochettino making runs.
“But very rarely do you see a world-class striker become a world-class playmaker.
“For me, Harry Kane is as good a passer of the ball as Kevin De Bruyne.”

TBR View:
Kane is regarded as one of the most dangerous strikers in the world for his prowess in front of goal and rightly so. He rarely ever misses his chances and if there’s a player in the world you’d put your house on to score, it’s him.
However, what makes him a complete player now is how good he is when he drops deep. His passing, which was never really talked about before Mourinho came in, is up there with the best in the country and he is one of the biggest reasons why Son and the other attackers around him score as many goals as they do.
As the summer transfer window comes closer, every Tottenham fan’s fears increase. Kane will once again be a target for many clubs in the world and if he continues playing as well as he is now, it won’t be a surprise to see Manchester City table a mammoth bid to sign him again.
Conte, however, would want nothing more than to keep hold of his star striker.
