‘Thanks Daniel’: Jamie Carragher mocks Tottenham on Twitter as he makes bold Liverpool prediction
Luis Diaz was the main man again for Liverpool today as they comfortably saw off Brighton, and Jamie Carragher was loving what he saw once again from the Colombian.

Never one to shy away from having an opinion or going on the wind up, Carragher was quickly onto his account to thank Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy for making a bid for Diaz in January and giving Liverpool the chance to make their move.
Writing on the social media platform, Carragher predicted that Diaz’s arrival could have changed the season for Liverpool. And at the same time, he couldn’t resist a cheeky dig at Tottenham and Levy.
Diaz has been sensational since he arrived at the club and he got on the scoresheet again today. He also gave Tariq Lamptey a torrid time down the left, with the Brighton full-back troubled throughout.
TBR’s View: Why Did Tottenham Wait So Long With Diaz?
The more you look back on this, the more it seems so bizarre that Tottenham waited all January before going for Diaz, only to see Liverpool swoop in anyway.
Surely if he was on their radar they should have got the deal wrapped up ASAP. They’ll have also known that Liverpool will have been sniffing, so it seems like a bad job all around from Tottenham.
Carragher, meanwhile, is right in his point about Diaz and Liverpool. He is a genuine difference maker and could give the Reds the chance at winning more than the one trophy this term.
