James Tavernier sends four-word message to Rangers fans on Twitter following return to action

Glasgow Rangers star James Tavernier has taken to Twitter with a message for the Ibrox fanbase following his first game back from injury.

The club captain has enjoyed an incredible season, registering 11 goals and 10 assists in the Scottish Premiership en route to Rangers’ 55th title.

Tavernier has been an ever-present for much of the campaign, with 42 games in all competitions under his belt, during which he registered 17 goals and 15 assists.

On Wednesday night, he returned to the starting XI against St Johnstone after two months of the sidelines, playing just over an hour of the 1-1 draw at McDiarmid Park.

While the result may have not been ideal, it was great for Tavernier to be back, and he certainly enjoyed it too:

Tavernier joined the Gers in the summer of 2015, former Ibrox boss Mark Warburton snapping him up from English outfit Wigan along with Martyn Waghorn.

The 29-year-old has since clocked up 285 competitive appearances for the Gers, registering 63 goals and 89 assists.
