James Maddison says there’s a player he’s played with who’s even better than Heung-Min Son

Tottenham midfielder James Maddison has had some top players alongside him in his career but he’s picked out one man as the top dog when pushed on it.

Maddison has enjoyed a fine spell at Leicester before moving to a talented Tottenham team, while also being part of an England set up that’s had some of the best players to ever pull on a Three Lions shirt.

Of course, Maddison is currently playing with some top stars like Heung-Min Son, Cristian Romero, and Dejan Kulusevski.

However, when presented with a list of four top players he’s had alongside him so far, Maddison eventually settled on one of the best the Premier League’s ever seen.

James Maddison picks Harry Kane as his best ever teammate

Speaking on YouTube for Sky Sports, Maddison was tasked with picking the best teammate he’s had in his career.

Maddison was given current Tottenham star Heung-Min Son, former Spurs ace Harry Kane and England teammate and superstar, Jude Bellingham.

But narrowing it down, Maddison eventually opted for England’s record setter, Kane.

“I think at this point in their career I’m going to have to go to Harry Kane. But obviously Sonny, what an unbelievable player as well. You gave me four tough ones.

“If you come back to me in a few years it might be Jude (Bellingham). But right now, it’s Harry Kane,” Maddison said.

“What a player. What a finisher.”

Bellingham has work to do to overtake Kane

While Maddison mentions the talent Bellingham has here, he still has a long way to go before he’s overtaking Harry Kane.

Kane’s goalscoring exploits have been superb over the course of his career while at the moment, Bellingham is already collecting the trophies Kane lacks.

Still, the England skipper remains arguably the best number nine to ever do it and at this moment, Maddison picking him is not surprising.

Going into a North London derby this Sunday, you can bet your bottom dollar that Tottenham would love a Harry Kane in this current team.
