James Maddison and Yves Bissouma react after hearing news coming out of Tottenham
James Maddison and Yves Bissouma have reacted to news coming out of Tottenham Hotspur yesterday.
Tottenham face a crucial run of fixtures from next weekend as they kick off a tough run against Arsenal.
Following the north London derby, Spurs will travel to Stamford Bridge and Anfield within the next seven days.
Ange Postecoglou’s men have fallen behind in the race for a top-four finish, with Aston Villa having the opportunity to move six points ahead with a win over Bournemouth today.
Fifth place is now unlikely to be enough to secure Champions League football after Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool all crashed out of Europe during the week.
With three difficult games to come, Spurs have it all to do if they wish to be amongst Europe’s elite next term.
And if they are to secure a top-four finish, they will have to do it without a key player.

Maddison and Bissouma react to Destiny Udogie’s injury
In what will be a huge blow for Postecoglou, Destiny Udogie confirmed he will miss the remainder of the season with an injury yesterday.
The Italian full-back took to and shared an update on his fitness.
He wrote: “The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord.
“An injury brings my season to an early end. It doesn’t take away from how grateful I am to every person that has supported me this year.”
Following the news, Udogie’s teammates flocked beneath the post to send him messages of support.
Yves Bissouma wrote: “Stay strong. I love you.”
“Love you brother,” James Maddison added.

Udogie injury a huge blow for Tottenham
It’s no secret that Spurs are short of options at left-back, particularly a player who can operate in a similar role to Udogie.
The 21-year-old has excelled in his debut season in the Premier League while playing in a completely new role under Postecoglou.
Spurs do have Ben Davies, who is likely to step up in the youngster’s absence. But whether or not the Welshman is suited to an inverted full-back role is up for debate.
Postecoglou also has the option of moving Micky van de Ven out to left-back, with Radu Dragusin stepping into the side in central defence.
It’s a real shame to see Udogie’s season end abruptly after such a promising first year in north London.
The former Udinese man is expected to be out for around three months and will already be eyeing a strong start to the next season.
