James Forrest shares what Tom Rogic has said behind the scenes about new Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou
that Tom Rogic has given a glowing verdict of the club’s new manager Ange Postecoglou behind the scenes. Rogic worked alongside Postecoglou at Australia during the gaffer’s 49 matches between 2013 and 2017 – and the two reunite at Celtic.
Postecoglou, 55, has finally been announced as Neil Lennon’s replacement. His arrival comes after Eddie Howe came within an inch of being appointed, only for a dispute over backroom staff preventing a move. Postecoglou has been appointed, signing a 12-month rolling contract.
The Australian boss has not managed in Europe, but brings a big reputation of attacking football. He has won the Australian A-League with Brisbane Roar, and the Japanese J-League with Yokohama F. Marinos. Forrest has shared what Rogic has said about Postecoglou behind the scenes.
“Tom’s said really good things about the new manager,” . “He worked with him at Australia, and he said that he’s very good and that a lot of players speak highly of him. You’re hearing that from a lot of different people, so that’s a good sign and I’m looking forward to him coming in.”

Postecoglou arrival met with mixed Celtic response
It is clear that many Celtic fans are happy to have a manager in charge. Now, the Hoops can focus on going forward, changing up the squad which is need of major surgery. Many on-loan players have left, while Scott Brown has already gone and others are likely to join him.
But some are worried about Postecoglou. An unknown in European football – which is harsh – Postecoglou has only signed a 12-month deal. That signifies that even the Celtic board are perhaps unsure and covering their back. Time will tell, but fans are not sure.
