Jadon Sancho sends seven-word Instagram message to Joe Willock, as he swaps Arsenal for Newcastle
Joe Willock completed a permanent move to Newcastle United from Arsenal on Friday for a fee of £25million, signing a six-year deal. The midfielder starred on loan at St. James’ Park last season, scoring eight goals in 14 games. Jadon Sancho has reacted, posting on Willock’s Instagram upload.
Willock, 21, is one of a long list of players to have broken into the Arsenal senior side from the Hale End academy of late. Along with the likes of Eddie Nketiah, Reiss Nelson, Ainsley Maitland-Niles more – Willock has clocked up 78 senior appearances for the Gunners. But he struggled last season.
Remaining at Arsenal during the first half of the 20-21 season, he only featured in seven Premier League matches. It saw him go on loan to Newcastle and the midfielder scored eight goals in 14 Premier League games. Following his move,

It is a move that suits all parties. Arsenal boast Emile Smith-Rowe and want to sign Martin Odegaard – plus they need cash. Willock needs to join a team where he is first choice and Newcastle is perfect for him. The Toon needed Willock back, if they are to have any chance of avoiding the drop.
Willock received a message from new Manchester United signing Sancho on Instagram. Responding to Willock’s post, the Euro 2020 finalist told the new Newcastle midfielder that he knows “what to do” in a seven-word message.
