Jadon Sancho picks one Arsenal player for praise on Twitter after Bournemouth win
Bukayo Saka earned the man-of-the-match award on Monday night as Arsenal progressed into the fifth round of the FA Cup with a 2-0 win over AFC Bournemouth – and Saka earned praise from England and Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.
Saka, 18, clocked up his 27th senior appearance for Arsenal on Monday night as The Gunners looked to progress into the fifth round of the Cup. Arsenal’s number 77 opened the scoring, lashing home an excellent effort from 10 yards out.
But the England youth international did not stop there. After netting his third goal of the season, he laid on an excellent low cross for Eddie Nketiah to score – after the England Under-21 man had returned from his loan spell at Leeds United.
The Gunners held on to a win over Eddie Howe’s under-fire Bournemouth, despite Sam Surridge scoring moments after coming off the bench. But Saka, who was voted man of the match, earned praise from Sancho on Twitter.

It was a good display from Mikel Arteta’s side, who had made five changes to field a somewhat young side – including a front four of Nketiah, Joe Willock, Nicolas Pepe and Gabriel Martinelli. Shkodran Mustafi was stretchered off with an injury.
Arsenal now face a trip down south to take on the imrpessive League One side Portsmouth, who produced a giant-killing over the weekend with a 4-2 win over Championship side Barnsley.
