Jack Wilshere sends five-word Instagram message to West Ham player after Monday win

Arthur Masuaku finally returned to action for the first time since undergoing knee surgery in December as West Ham inched past Wolves at Molineux on Monday night – and Jack Wilshere has responded to his Instagram post with a five-word message.

The Hammers held on to all three points despite going 3-0 up in the first half. Jesse Lingard opened the scoring with a beautiful solo goal, before Masuaku’s inch-perfect assist was finished with aplomb by Pablo Fornals. Jarrod Bowen made it three.

But like the 3-3 draw with Arsenal, the Hammers took a three-goal lead and then conceded one just before half-time. Leander Dendoncker rose highest, and then Fabio Silva made it 3-2 – but the Hammers held on to return to the top four.

Masuaku, 27, last faced Manchester United in December in the Premier League before undergoing knee surgery – but the Frenchman was back on Monday night and started the game. He posted on Instagram, after lasting 67 minutes.

It was certainly an excellent performance from Masuaku, who played as a defensive winger in front of Aaron Cresswell. Certainly, his assist for Fornals showed just how much the Hammers have missed the £6million () signing.

Plenty responded to his Instagram post to praise Masuaku, who is nicknamed ‘King’ due to his first name. Declan Rice commented, while ex-Hammers midfielder Wilshere sent him a heartfelt five-word message.
