Jack Wilshere gives his view on Mark Noble’s lack of England cap
Jack Wilshere is no longer at West Ham United but he is clearly still a big fan of one of the club’s most prominent players.
Mark Noble is the longest-serving player at West Ham having been at the club now for over two decades.
Noble, who has played over 500 games for the Hammers, will go down as a West Ham legend for his longevity at the club and the manner in which he has conducted himself at West Ham.
However, the 33-year-old does have one mark on his record which has often caused discussion among the Hammers faithful. Noble has never won a senior England cap.

The West Ham legend has 20 caps for the England under-21s but has never been called up to the senior side.
There were rumours that Roy Hodgson was close to calling him up in 2016 whilst Noble has also rejected the chance to play for the Republic of Ireland.
As far as Wilshere is concerned, that is unforgivable. The former West Ham man, who left on a free transfer in the summer and is now at Bournemouth, thinks that is ‘scandalous’.

Top player for years.
Scandalous he never.— Jack Wilshere (@JackWilshere)
Of course, it now seems like it is too late for Noble to force his way into England contention. The veteran midfielder is no longer a guaranteed starter for his club, let alone looking likely for a late breakthrough internationally à la Kevin Davies or Leon Osman.
It seems that Noble will just go down as one of those talented players who simply never made it to an England cap.
