Jack Grealish and £60m reported Tottenham target react to Dele Alli’s Besiktas debut last night

Dele Alli has made his debut for Besiktas after his move to the Turkish outfit from Everton.

They beat Sivasspor 3-1 thanks to three first half goals, including one from former Burnley striker Wout Weghorst.

Dele started the game in the number ten role as he picked up all three points on his first outing for his new club.

They sit top of the table after four matches unbeaten to kick off the season, with ten points to show for their efforts.

Dele Alli wins on Besiktas debut

Dele took to Instagram after the game to celebrate the victory as he looks to kickstart his career after dropping off at Tottenham and Everton.

It is a good sign of his fitness and sharpness that he was able to go straight into the side and help them carry on their good form.

There were plenty of fellow players in the replies, including Manchester City and England wideman Jack Grealish, who offered his congratulations.

James Maddison, who has been with a £60 million move to Dele’s former employers Tottenham this summer, also praised the midfielder.

Last week, it was reported that some of Everton’s Under-23 players were looking more viable first team options than Dele at times last season.

Frank Lampard has also mentioned the importance of consistency and training for Dele, who has suffered a downturn since he was an England regular who went to two major tournaments.

He is now looking to revamp his career and he has got off to a good start in Turkey, earning congratulations from many, and now he needs to carry it on.
